New Class Opportunities!
Hello SLH Followers,
We have a few new class opportunities coming up in April & May.
Men's Shirt Class
April 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 from 5:30-8:30pm
$50.00
Make a shirt or several for the man in your life! Bring his favorite short sleeve, best fitting shirt to the first class and we’ll use it to guide us as we sew another soon to become favorite shirt. Some techniques that will be taught are french seams, set in sleeves without gathering, a serger finish, top stitching and buttonholes.
Oliver & S Open Sew
April 22 from 12:00-4:00pm
$30
Do you just love sewing childrens clothes? Or do you have a little boy or girl in your life that you would like to make a special outfit for?! This is the class for you. Choose any Oliver + S pattern and come sew. Enjoli will help you through any tough spots and show you some tricks she has learned while sewing these cute patterns.
Beginning Sewing 101
May 7, 14, 21 & 28 from 6:00-8:30pm
$50.00
This is a class where you will create a small sampler book of sewing techniques. Learn how to use your sewing machine, sew in a zipper, create a pocket, use your buttonhole foot and play with decorative stitches and applique. Two expert teachers will guide you through the process so you will have the confidence to start you on your sewing and quilting projects.
This week also brings the start of a few classes. There may still be room in a few of them so if you'd like to sign up and come this week, call the store for more information. The classes starting this week are: Apple Dumpling and of course the monthly Breakfast Club. Breakfast Club is always a blast. Those of us who have to work get to listen to their laughing and sewing fun all morning and afternoon! :)
