Hello SLH Family,
This was the first weekend of the Anchorage Downtown Market, and we survived! Saturday was amazing, the sun was shining and people were excited to be outside!

New Alaskan Fabrics!

New Alaskan Fabrics!
Along with the new Wilderness Expressions that arrived a week or so ago, we just received Teresa Ascone new fabric line!!
And it is amazing!
It is all alaskan wildflowers! Here is the panel!
And here is a running yardage stripe that goes with it!
And some coordinates!
These are so much better in person! So head to the shoppe to check them out!
We not only received Alaskan fabric, but a whole bunch of Kaffe and some holiday fabric (WHAT?!) It should be out by the end of the week!

Girl at Play by our very own Carrie Payne!
You’ve seen the samples and patterns, now you can learn how Carrie Payne creates her art quilts step by step. In this fun 1-day class, you will create a collaged background; use free motion stitching to quilt the piece; and then create and add a raw edge applique girl jumping rope, doing a handstand or swinging to be the star of your art quilt measuring approximately 12” x 17”.
Carrie will demonstrate how to bind your art quilt and attach hangers.
Note: If free motion stitching scares you, quilting with a walking foot is okay, but Carrie will challenge you to give it a try!
Class date is: Sat, May 28, 2016 at 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
