Cash Register Paper Piecing



This 2-hour course will teach participants how to use cash register or thermal paper as a foundation to piece together a mug rug - finished size approximately 10 X 10 inches. Time allowing, participants can expect to finish or nearly finish one mug rug with enough materials to take with them for an additional mug rug. Kits are included in class price, but participants can bring their own fabric pieces; a backing (like a fat quarter); and batting. Sewing machines will be provided in class. If participants want to purchase extra kits that match their free in-class kit, those may be purchased at $10.00 for enough materials to finish 2 more mug rugs.

Helpful if participants bring own rotary cutter, seam ripper, scissors, pins, and ruler.

Instructor Bio:
Laurie has been sewing most of her adult life and recently launched her own longarm services company. Before joining Seams Like Home, Laurie worked 34 years as a registered nurse specializing in education, project management, and competency management.
Nancy has been sewing since her childhood. A favorite sewing project she enjoys is using up fabric scraps. Before joining Seams Like Home, Nancy performed accounting and administrative services professionally.
