Sweater Mittens
In this fun and beginner-friendly class, you will learn how to repurpose a felted wool sweater into lined, custom fit mittens.
Materials Required: A working sewing machine, walking foot or dual feed, neutral thread, pre-washed and dried wool sweater, stretchy knit fabric or fleece for lining (could be an old t-shirt), sewing clips and/or pins, fabric scissors
You will need to find a wool sweater (at least 80% wool).
Before Class: Wash sweater in hot water and dry on high cotton setting. If the sweater has a ribbed binding on the sleeves and/or bottom hem, you can use that for the cuffs of the mittens.
