Festive Sweatshirt
Bring your plain sweatshirt or hoodie to life in this fun class learning reverse applique! You will choose between creating a peek-through pumpkin or Christmas tree. The teachers will provide the design template, tracing materials and tear-away stabilizer.
We will cut out the design on your sweatshirt and stitch in colorful fabric underneath so your chosen motif shines through.This is a great beginner-friendly technique you can use for future projects too!
Materials Required: Sweatshirt or hoodie, thread to match fabric, chalk marker, straight pins, and fabric for you design.
What to Bring: Sewing machine, scissors, walking foot (if you have one).
Before Class: Please have all fabrics and materials ready before class so you can jump right in.
Helpful Tools: Walking foot
Students must know how to operate and sew with their own sewing machine.
