**National Teachers


We will be working on Serpentine! The FIRST time EVER this quilt has been taught by TULA!! . Foundation Paper Piecing is a technique used to stabilize fabrics. It is the method of machine sewing fabrics to paper (or muslin or other stabilizers) to create intricate shapes or details in quilt blocks and perfect points! Workshop details and a materials list will be available when we finalize the project. This is a machine sewing class.

Cost: $ 250.00
We will be working on a top secret English Paper Piecing project (details to be released closer to the workshop date). English paper piecing (or EPP) is quilting technique used to hand sew intricate patchwork with the aid of paper templates. Once a shape, block, rosette, or finished piece has been made, the papers are removed, leaving the fabric as the remaining item. Workshop details and a materials list will be available when we finalize the project. This is a hand sewing class.

A day sewing with Tula?! Yes~Please! Join Tula as she walks you through her pattern Serpentine- Featuring Pinkerville!!! Workshop details and a materials list will be available when we finalize the project. This is a machine sewing class.

Join us for a special evening with Tula! Visit with one of the most inspirational fabric designers to come along! Tula's journey is wild and varied and makes for a great presentation!

Cost: $ 50.00
We will be closing the shop at 6pm and reopening from 6:30-8:30pm. This is your opportunity to sip tasty cider from our favorite hand crafted cider company, Double Shovel, hang out with Tula and purchase goodies at great prices! We will have door prizes and treats! Come hang out with Tula!

Class Policy


Please read and familiarize yourself with our class policy. If you have signed up for a class, it is implied that you are agreeing to follow our class policies. 

There are no refunds on class fees for National teachers and Bernina Events within 60 days of class date unless we can fill your spot with another student.      

The class refund will be given as an in-store credit.  A lot of work goes into bringing up National teachers and events.  Thank you for respecting our policy.

2019 Saturday Sampler - Saturday Session

Start your new year off with an exciting adventure in Town Topography. You'll explore a variety of techniques as you construct 1 block a month to create a stunning quilt top. This is a year-long commitment, but so worth the time! We have two color run options: Spring - featuring cotton prints in raspberry, mint, lemon and chocolate Autumn - featuring batiks in blueberry, spinach, pumpkin and plum We also have two setting options: Traditional - sashing between the set straight blocks with 2 borders resulting in a 59" x 73" quilt top. Modern - blocks spaced apart with lots of negative space resulting in a 73" x 73" quilt top.

Learning My Bernina 1- 2019

We want you to be completely comfortable with your Bernina sewing, embroidery and serger machine so we offer the My BERNINA series of classes FREE to customers who purchase their Bernina from Seams Like Home. If you purchased your Bernina from a dealer other than Seams Like Home, you are welcome to attend at $30 per class. Not all LEARNING MY BERNINA classes are applicable to all models. You only need to sign up for one session for each class.
