Slow Stitch Study

This is a support class for hand embroidery; At each meeting you will be introduce to various new stitches & techniques, show & tell, and items in the market that can support your assorted projects and enhance your skills. Bring your own project to work on, whether you are a beginner or expert all are welcome. Be prepared to have a great time gathering together with this one focus.

2019 Saturday Sampler - Friday Session

Start your new year off with an exciting adventure in Town Topography. You'll explore a variety of techniques as you construct 1 block a month to create a stunning quilt top. This is a year-long commitment, but so worth the time! We have two color run options: Spring - featuring cotton prints in raspberry, mint, lemon and chocolate Autumn - featuring batiks in blueberry, spinach, pumpkin and plum We also have two setting options: Traditional - sashing between the set straight blocks with 2 borders resulting in a 59" x 73" quilt top. Modern - blocks spaced apart with lots of negative space resulting in a 73" x 73" quilt top.

Classes


Machine Quilting


This class will explore Free Motion Quilting techniques using Rulers on a domestic machine. We will use straight edge rulers to create a variety of shapes, plus explore curved and other shaped rulers for more intricate ruler work designs. Must have previous FMQ experience, as well as the correct ruler work foot for your machine. *We will use a block panel created specially for this class!

Cost: $ 75.00
This class is for brand new machine quilters. We start with the basics; discussing threads, needles, batting and other FMQ supplies. You will learn how to baste a quilt sandwich together which we will use to learn common all-over quilting designs and free motion fillers. This class will help you get comfortable with how the quilt sandwich moves under the needle of your home sewing machine.

Cost: $ 65.00
In this class we?ll discuss quilting plans, how to choose what you want to highlight in your quilt, what you might want to hide and how to do so. We?ll also dive into a few different ways to audition your quilting with drawing using paper and pencil or a variety of apps on a tablet or other device.

Do you LOVE the Dream Big panels? So does Enjoli! You?ve seen all the beautiful quilted Dream Big panels, now you can quilt one up for yourself during this class. We will discuss design options, do some drawing and quilt our panel! There will be panel/thread kits available for you to choose to get the perfect blend of thread in your panel.

Cost: $ 50.00
This intermediate Free-Motion workshop will cover Fillers & Feathers we'll spend our session really digging into a variety of filler and feather designs. We'll discuss how you can use these designs together, in borders, as backgrounds, etc. Come ready to learn a lot in this intensive style class. Feel free to bring a small quilt top to use during class, or a few fat quarter size quilt sandwiches to practice with.

Cost: $ 60.00
This intensive style class will focus on using shapes and designs in modern quilts with an emphasis on using rulers to achieve smoother shapes. We will learn how to use the shapes in our quilts to choose designs and how to use the points in our quilt for dot-to-dot designs. For this class, feel free to bring a small quilt top you want to use these techniques on.

Class Policy


Please read and familiarize yourself with our class policy. If you have signed up for a class, it is implied that you are agreeing to follow our class policies. 

There are no refunds on class fees for National teachers and Bernina Events within 60 days of class date unless we can fill your spot with another student.      

The class refund will be given as an in-store credit.  A lot of work goes into bringing up National teachers and events.  Thank you for respecting our policy.
