Hello SLH Family,
I hope you all had a lovely, relaxing Mother's Day! I was able to be at the shop all day doing Free Motion Quilting with a fun group of ladies! Now that it looks like Summer is making an appearance, those opportunities to grab some sewing time will be few and far between, especially with three little girls who want to play outside at all hours of the day!

Spring Quilt Market
Maret is leaving for market this week! She has a long wish list for the shoppe and we can't wait to see what she brings back! Lots of pictures will be taken and she plans on doing a market preview when she returns! Angelyn will be hosting Saturday Sampler this weekend and Jacobean Journey has been cancelled.
Panty Raid Sale
Thank you so much to the participants of our panty raid sale! These undies will be part of our kits for "Days for Girls" and will be heading to Guatemala in July. Not sure what this is all about...check out the official website at daysforgirls.org
Speaking of Days For Girls, join Caitlin on Saturday, May 23 from 4:00-7:00pm to help make kits to send to Guatemala! We do still need some cotton and flannel donations to make kits, so if you have some stash you'd like to donate, please feel free. Caitlin also asks that if you are going to make the sewing night, bring your machine and basic sewing supplies!

Introducing BIG BERTHA!
Maret here...so I had a chance to play on the Q24 Sunday afternoon. Many of you know that I own a Gammill longarm and have been doing machine quilting for over 15 years. I just have to say that the frame and carriage of the Bernina longarm is smoother and feels more solid than my Gammill. I was having so much fun that it was tough relinquishing her to customers! Come in and play with "Big Bertha" and I am sure you'll agree that she is a fine machine! Enjoli has packaged a great gift with purchase through the month of May and Bernina has some extended financing terms.
