So Much is Happening at SLH
Hello SLH Family,
Welcome to the beginning of a very fun and exciting Fall! This week officially kicks off the beginning of our Fall Session of classes! We have two classes starting this week and can't wait to see you all in class!
Free Motion Quilting is starting this week! This class if FULL but if enough of you are interested, you could probably convince us to open another session! Please let us know if you missed out and want another session scheduled! This will be offered again next session as well!
We also have the Mini Professional Tote starting this week on Tuesday night, the 12th. There is ONE spot left in this class if you want to join. You had better call first thing though as there is only one spot left! This bag is super cute and holds a surprising amount of stuff!
Jacobean Journey Starts On Saturday!
For those of you that LOVE machine embroidery, and well pretty things, this class is for you! This beautiful quilt really doesn't get the justice it deserves in photos.. You have to see it up close in person to truly appreciate how spectacular it is!

This class happens the same Saturday as Saturday Sampler, immediately following the last Sampler session. You don't even have to tote your machine to have a great time. As a lecture/demo class you get to ohh and ahh over the beautiful blocks, then you leave with the designs and supplies to make yours at home! And the instructions and resources are beyond wonderful. The gals who designed this program really did a great job!
So, call and sign up NOW! Think about the possibilities, the color options for fabric and thread.. OH MY! These is a good chance you will see most of the SLH staff in the chairs next to you!

SLH New Building UPDATE
I know there are a few of you out there that are just as excited (maybe more) about the progress of our new building! Well I drove by on Sunday afternoon, and to my immense delight, this is what I saw:
"Welcome to Seams Like Home!" - can't you just see the lights on and all the wonderful fabric inside! It's going to be so fun!
Here is our new spacious classroom, where our wonderful classes will be held next session. The room on the left (steel bars right now), will be a kitchen, and the room on the right..you can kind of see the door opening, will be a storage room/Marcia's workroom to cut all of our wonderful quilt kits, strip club kits & Breakfast Club kits!
This shot looks through the west wall of the classroom into the rest of the store.. to the left will be our Bernina Machine area and the rest.. well.. it will be FABRIC!! Lots and Lots of Fabric!
I don't know about you all, but after going by today, I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas.. I wish it would just hurry up and come.. like tomorrow! We can't wait to be in our new building, we're excited to share this journey with you all. And when the time comes, we can't wait to fling the doors wide open and invite you all in to celebrate the wonderfulness that this new space will be!

Pintuck and decorative-stitch foot with clear sole # 46C makes it a breeze to sew fetching pintucks and then embellish them evenly.
The clear sole provides a perfect view of the stitching area at all times. The pintucks are sewn first, with the finished pintucks lying in the grooves on the bottom of the foot. In a second step, the Pintuck and decorative stitch foot with clear sole # 46C is used to embellish the pintucks with precisely parallel lines of stitching – so there’s no need to trace the lines beforehand.
