Kids Learn to Sew - Home School Session

This class will teach kids ages 8-14 how to thread and operate a sewing machine and provide a foundation in basic sewing skills as students make samples for their Seams and Samples Workbook.   Once students have practiced all the techniques outlined in the Seams and Samples Workbook, we will stitch a series of fun and easy-to-complete projects: a drawstring bag, pin cushion, patchwork pillow, and hot chocolate cozy.

Notes:

  • This class requires cumulative knowledge.  If your kid’s schedule does not accommodate attendance at all four sessions, please plan to take a future class.  Make-up classes will not be given.
  • This is a kids only class and as such parents are not allowed.  We want kids to view the classroom as their sewing clubhouse.  Since, the store is not open for shopping when the class sessions begin, parents are encouraged to enjoy the class time without their kids.  However, if you wish to remain nearby, parents will need to wait in the parking lot until the store is open.
  • Parents will need to pay for the class when registering and request reimbursement via your home school program.
