Sew Cute Quilter

In this fun 1-day class, create an art quilt featuring a fused raw-edge appliquéd girl stitching with a sewing machine in her studio with colorful fabrics on display behind her. Use your favorite fabrics and creativity to customize the hair, clothes and sewing machine to create a wall-hanging perfect for the quilter in your life (aka you).

You will design a collaged background; use free motion stitching to quilt the piece; and add a raw edge applique girl (or boy) to create an art quilt measuring approximately 16” x 24”. Carrie will demonstrate how to bind your art quilt and attach hangers. You should walk out of class with a completed art quilt.

Note: If free motion stitching scares you, quilting with a walking foot is okay, but Carrie will challenge you to give it a try!
